Payment of taxes: The digitization of the system does not take into account the bilingual status of the country
Mr. Mouliom Mazou, president of the Cameroonian Association for the Defense of Taxpayers' Rights (ACDC), makes this relevant claim at a time when digitization is extended to all taxpayers. "But it is clear that the whole 'Harmony' system is in French although the name of the system is in English," he regrets. "Members of the Cameroonian Association for the Defense of the Rights of Anglophone Taxpayers and Other Taxpayers are embarrassed by this situation because they are forced to call on third parties for their tax returns," he said. The ACDC asks the Director General of Taxes (DGI) to set up an English version of the remote procedures with all the documentation generated through this system.
